The National Science Week is an annual celebration focused on promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in South Africa. Under the Science Week banner, Air Liquide South Africa, in collaboration with Wits University, hosted an inspiring ScienceActivation event for over 300 high school learners from schools in Thokoza, Soweto, and Eldorado Park.

Learners were exposed to hands-on science experiments led by Air Liquide engineers and a tour of the university's lab facilities in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment. Learners also participated in an exciting design challenge that further sparked their curiosity. Professor Thokozani Majozi, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment and Nkululeko Magadla Air Liquide Southern Africa's CEO shared their experiences to inspire a passion for STEM amongst the learners.

This event served as a platform to showcase the exciting career opportunities available in STEM fields and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
