SA-spec-Ammonia
Air Liquide manufactures pure ammonia gas to be used in a variety of applications, including chemical synthesis and as a refrigerant. Ammonia is also available as a component in various specialty gas mixtures, including EPA protocols and CEM DAILY STANDARDS™ for environmental applications.
Environment
Title V Ammonia Gas Mixtures: Use of Air Liquide’s ammonia standards helps to ensure compliance with federal regulations and provides the highest possible accuracy and confidence when measuring ammonia during CEMs certification. We are the only specialty gas manufacturer offering ammonia standards designed for compliance with EPA Conditional Method 27e. Recommended for coal-fired boilers and other stationary emission sources,
Ammonia Standards are traceable to Metrology Institute Standards (MIS) and are available in a balance gas of air or nitrogen. Ammonia concentrations are confirmed using EPA Conditional Method 27e, the wet chemistry testing method for certification and auditing of ammonia emissions. In addition, Air Liquide is actively involved in EPA calibration gas issues, and all five of our specialty gas facilities are registered participants of EPA’s Protocol Gas Verification Program (PGVP).
CEM DAILY STANDARDSTM
These gas standards are often used in air monitoring applications where the use of EPA protocol gases is not required. Zero blend tolerance is available thanks to our proprietary ACUBLEND™ technology. As a result, multiple cylinders exhibiting identical concentrations can be ordered, minimizing the need to recalibrate each time you change out a cylinder. Ammonia gas mixtures are also available as CEM 2% DAILY STANDARDS, providing a consistent ±2% analytical accuracy for those gas mixtures. This accuracy is comparable to the ±2% minimum accuracy requirement of an EPA protocol gas mixture. You can use these standards to maximize daily CEM performance in applications where ±1% analytical accuracy is either unavailable or not necessary.
