Methane
Air Liquide manufactures methane pure gas with up to 99.999% purity to be used in a variety of applications, including chemical synthesis, radiation detection and flame gas. Methane is also available as part of various specialty gas mixtures, including hydrocarbon chromatographic standards and natural gas and liquid standards including calorimetric, high-ethane, extended analysis, GPA, helium, pipeline and Specific BTU. Methane in air and/or nitrogen gas mixtures are used as a span gas calibration mixtures in engine emissions testing in the automotive industry. They are ISO 17025 accredited and Part 86 compliant. When smaller quantities of gas are needed, methane can be found in two-component and multi-component gas mixtures in non-returnable Mini-MixTM transportables, including paraffins, olefins and TO mixtures used in industrial hygiene and safety and laboratory applications.
Environmental
EPA protocol gases
Air Liquide offers brand two-component methane gas mixtures as EPA protocols. These EPA protocol gas mixtures are instrumental in helping you avoid non-compliance fines and downtime caused by inaccurate instrument calibration measuring sulfur dioxide emissions. Air Liquide’s specialty gas manufacturing facilities are registered participants of EPA’s Protocol Gas Verification Program (PGVP). Protocol standards are dual-analyzed, and for each reactive component two separate analyses are performed and analyzed directly against metrology institute standards to determine the concentrations. Certificates of Accuracy are provided with each cylinder.
CEM DAILY STANDARDS TM
Methane in air gas mixtures manufactured as CEM DAILY STANDARDS are used in applications where the use of EPA protocol gases are not required. Zero blend tolerance is available as a result of our proprietary ACUBLEND™ technology. As a result, multiple cylinders exhibiting identical concentrations may be ordered, minimizing the need to recalibrate each time you change out a cylinder.
Related Supply Modes and Services
